Hello CPS Students and Guardians, I hope you are having a great summer and enjoying the beauty all around us in Colorado Springs! If you haven't already seen our calendar for next year, which we posted on our social media pages, you can see it on our website here. We are back to school on Monday, July 17th. We are definitely back before many schools, but it is because of our 4-day school week. Colorado law requires us to have 160 school days in the year, and a few more to adjust for snow days, etc. Since we have fewer school days in our week, we have to compensate with a shorter summer break. It's important that students come back in July so that they meet the state requirements for attendance. Looking forward to seeing you on July 17th! Sincerely, Raj Solanki Principal

Remote Days Monday and Tuesday

Dear CPS Students, Families, and Guardians, The holidays can certainly be a mixed bag, can't they? On one hand, there is the joy of spending time with loved ones, special events, decorations, and shared meals. On the other hand, holidays can be stressful with planning, gift shopping, and just an upset to our routines. Here at CPS, we have certainly had a challenging season. Due to enrollment, we had to lose 1/3 of our staff in October, we were affected by the violence in our Colorado Springs community, personal loss among staff, upsetting events at school, and just a general lack of regard some students display to staff who are devoting their all to them and their education.  The staff at CPS care deeply about this community and all the students here. But we are worn out.  For the mental support of staff, we will be having remote days this coming Monday and Tuesday before the break, December 19th, and 20th. Students have been encouraged to take work home to accomplish on Monda...

Inclement Weather Procedure

Dear CPS Community, As we enter the winter season, I want to share with you our inclement weather procedure.  We follow D11's policy for closing the school due to inclement weather. When district 11 calls a snow day, we will announce it on our Facebook and Instagram pages and will send out a message on this system notifying the community that the school will be closed that day. As a self-paced school with much of our curriculum online, we encourage students to continue to work on their credits when the school is closed for inclement weather.  Please make sure you notify us if your contact information changes so that you can always be notified of this and other important information. Respectfully, Raj Solanki, Principal

Count Day this Friday, October 1st!

Hello CPS Students and Guardians! This Friday, October 1st, is Count Day. As a reminder, this is the only Friday this year students are required to be in attendance. What is Count Day and Why is it So Important? Count day is the day that the state of Colorado looks at how many students are present, and they pay us for each student who is present. The money we receive from Count Day is the largest part of our funding. It is how we pay our teachers, pay for building and bus maintenance, buy our supplies, pay for our awesome trips and any other opportunities we offer at the school. We need to get paid for each and every student who is enrolled at CPS, so we can continue to make this school the best it can be. Therefore, we need every student in attendance on Count Day and the 5 days before and after Count Day, which is this week and next. Of course, we want you to attend school every day, but for Count Day and the days surrounding it, WE MUST HAVE YOU ATTEND! 😊 Count day this year w...
